"... Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out."
Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Jury's Verdict in the Poetical Tournament Bieszczadzkie Dusioły 2009

The jury, having received - as much as three days before the debate - almost the full set of poems (48 sets divisible by three!; 6 other was still waiting in Cisna) had opportunity to read three times 172 works (almost divisible by three) sent this year to IX (well...? you see...!) Poetical Tournament Bieszczadzkie Dusioły.
After the third debate in row, at the hospitable Bieszczadian Atamania of Ryszard Szociński, three person quartet (or four person trio - depends on how you count) jury, including: Małgorzata Lebda, Adam Ziemianin, Ryszard Szociński and Krzysztof Jurkiewicz, decided to:

award the first prize to a poem:
" *** " [Aniele poboczny...] by Małgorzaty Borzeszkowskiej (emblem "materia światła") from Lębork.

Beside that, the Jury decided to distinguish the following compositions (six! - speaks for itself!):
"ciemność i świt (tu na pewno jest niebo...)" by Arkadiusz Stosur (emblem "TROCHANIEC") from Cracow, for the atmosphere and the point;

"Bieszczady z matką" by Wanda Łomnicka-Dulak (emblem "trawa") from Piwniczna Zdrój, for the clear honest feelings and taking the Mother to mountains;

"tutaj" by Magdalen Sadowska-Maciejewska (emblem "Ksantypa") from Warsaw, for "hereness" and the most obvious way for inner dilemmas;

"Piasek sypie się" by Janusz Koryl (emblem "MADRYGAŁ") from Rzeszów, for the creative approach to the traditional form of sonnet: subtle rhymes (rarity!) and intertwining with the cycle;

"Na koniec" by Robert Miniak (emblem "..Smardz pospolity...") from ŁódŸ, for the touching ending to which led other poem's paths;

"Tryptyk z aniołem" (TRIPTYCH) by Urszula Kopeć-Zaborniak (emblem "URSA") from Cieszanów, for the first impression and three (!) looks at three (!) angels.

At the end the Jury again would like to:
stress how great joy is reading your poems and encourage to writing
and sending poems both - those who already write, and those who have never tried;
express hope for meeting the Laureates during Bieszczadzkie Anioły 2009, what happened to be more real thanks to the earlier judgment of the Tournament.
